Ticket Chai Limited is a one-stop shop for tickets and tours that started back in 2015 as an Event Ticketing Platform. Since then, we have served over 500 events in selling their event tickets, and in the last quarter of 2017, we raised 125 thousand US dollars to create a travel platform with the aim of addressing three main problems: buying tickets in rural areas is not user-friendly, there is limited tourism for rural people, and urban tourists do not get the best travel deals. Since launching the platform, we have already closed over 70 thousand USD in sales within the last three months, and we are selling 400 tickets per day with a 500 thousand customer base, 45% of whom are returning customers.
We are looking to tap into a 5 Billion Dollar per year market by utilizing our platform economy business model, which enables us to create continuous two-way value creation. Through our platform, we are able to get tours and tickets from our partners and resell them, while combining our website, app, messenger bot, and an offline agent module into a strong sales channel.
Our team utilizes a Lean Startup methodology, which consists of Analysts, Developers, and Marketers, and we are the only travel platform in Bangladesh that has focused on countrywide offline sales and Artificial Intelligence based Travel Engine. We are currently raising 500 thousand USD to fuel our next year's worth of a runway.
